According to Roddy White's tweeting skills, Grimes is back for the Falcons. This was the first I had heard he was back with the Falcons
Kansas City signed Le'Ron McClain, just about the only good free agent RB left besides Jason Snelling. John Clayton reports the Chiefs worked out Snelling before making the choice. Think the prospects of Snells returning to Atlanta are looking better by the day? Feel bad for him, but definitely think he can still be a very good fit here.
Apparently, there are 7 teams over the cap as of Tuesday August 2nd. Are there any players from these teams that you could see being released and possibly ending up on the Falcons' roster?
Turf Show Times is keeping an eye on the RB situation for their team, and it looks like they're well on their way to signing Norwood and NOT Snelling. Why Snelling hasn't been picked up yet...I don't know. It seems the common theme is indecisiveness on his part. Yikes. Best of luck to Norwood, who was one of my favorite Falcons to watch.
It was less than a year ago that The Falcoholic got to a million visits. I'd like to thank every one of my readers, my co-writers, the Falcons and the host of others who have helped make this possible. You're the best! Here's to many millions more!
The NFC South Report is back by (an apparent) popular demand. We'll be recording Wednesday night and hope to have the first episode available Thursday. If anyone would like to sponsor the show, $15 bucks gives you a radio ad-like shout out for your business or website. Hit the website for details.
Seems like a good spot for him. Shout out to a Falcon who was well-liked by his teammates, based on how hard they celebrated his first NFL sack.
That's one way to do it, I guess. Hope Snells got a lovely dinner out of the trip, at least. Down to the Rams and maybe the Bengals ...
The AJC has a breakdown of a crucial camp battle. I think Owens wins based on experience, but Franks is a climber.
