Week 16 is here as the Atlanta Falcons will host the Indianapolis Colts. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, as the Falcons look to keep their incredibly slim playoff hopes alive. There’s been a change at quarterback, as Taylor Heinicke will now start for the Falcons.
There’s some interesting prop bets this week in this divisional matchup. Before making any decisions though, let’s look at some more numbers, graciously provided by our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Taylor Heinicke: Under 1.5 passing touchdowns (-190)
We don’t have a lot of information with Heinicke here, as he’s only played in three games in Atlanta. In those games, all losses, Heinicke had only one passing touchdown. The prop bet this week is for him to have 2+, so why should we expect a higher number? Taking the under here, easily.
Taylor Heinicke: Over 202.5 passing yards (-115)
Although I don’t think Heinicke will have over two passing touchdowns, I do see him breaking the 203-yard passing mark on Sunday. The Falcons will likely be down, and forced to throw. Heinicke has 268 passing yards against the Minnesota Vikings a few weeks ago, so him clearing this prop bet wouldn’t surprise me.
Taylor Heinicke: Over 0.5 interceptions (-105)
Sure as the sun will rise, the Falcons are destined to throw an interception, no matter who the quarterback is. The offense is built on turning the ball over, and turning the ball over they will. I’ll take the over here to say Heinicke throws at least one interception.
Bijan Robinson: Under 59.5 rushing yards (-115)
Tough to say as a Falcons fan, but if you’re betting on the Falcons, it should be against them. This week’s prop bet has Bijan hitting 60 yards on the ground. Bijan hasn’t cleared 54 yards on the ground in any of the last three games. It’s entirely possible that he does so this week, but after having just 11 yards in Week 15, why would you expect any different?
Drake London: Over 53.5 receiving yards (-115)
Drake London is a real talent that will thrive when the Falcons have a good quarterback. As a pure passer, Heinicke is better than Desmond Ridder. I see London easily topping 54 yards through the air.
Falcons fans, what Falcons-Colts bets have you put down at DraftKings Sportsbook this week? Do you agree or disagree with my picks? Let us know in the comments!
