Post Trade & Free Agent MOCK 2.0

What would a draft look like after a couple KEY trades and F/A signings?

Assumptions: Reworked two contracts to free-up some cap space.

· Falcons sign a F/A LG (C. Williams) to compete with Mayfield

· Falcons trade Ridley for a high second round pick (NYJ #36)

· Falcons trade Deion Jones to DEN for a 5th (#151) plus a swap of 2nd (#62) and 3rd (#74).

o Falcons eat $10.6M of Deion’s $20M contract. Deal saves Falcons $9.4M.

· Falcons sign a QB2 in F/A (Marcus Mariotta) – worked w/ Arthur Smith system for 5 years

· Falcons sign a starting RCB in F/A (Casey Heyward) – 5’11" / 192. PFF Grade 76.0.

· Falcons sign a WR2 in F/A (Sammy Watkins) – 6’1" / 211. PFF Grade 66.3 Speed: 4.43

· Falcons re-sign LB Oloukon in F/A

Outcome: Falcons sign 4 starters and a QB2 with excellent experience w/ Arthur’s system.

P8 - S Kyle Hamilton (3 EDGE / 2 QB / 2 OT were picked) – BPA (NDU 6’4" / 220)

P36 - NT/34DE DeVonte Wyatt (UGA 6’3" / 315) – compete for Starter next to Jarrett

Pick #36 obtained from NY Jets in Calvin Ridley trade.

P43 - SDE/DT5 Logan Hall (UHou 6’6" / 275-280) – starting DE; moves inside for Pass Rush

P62 - MLB/SAM Darrian Beavers (UCin 6’4" / 255) – 2022’s Zaven Collins to pair w/ Oloukon

Traded #74 to DEN for #62 and #151 (5th)

P63 - OG/OT Jamaree Salyer (UGA 6’5" / 325) – competes w/ McGary and backup OG

Traded #111 to Miami for #118 + #122. Miami drafted OLB Brenton Cox at #111.

P118 - RB Tyler Allgeier (BYU 5’11" / 220) – starting RB1 – very good receiver/blocker too

P122 - WR Christian Watson (SDSU 6’5" / 208) – starting WR with F/A Sammy Watkins

P150 - WDE/34OLB Ali Gaye (LSU 6’6" / 250) – outside on PR downs; developmental EDGE

P151 - CB Jermaine Waller (VT 6'1" / 180) - backup for Field or Boundary; potential starter

Traded to ATL in the Deion Jones deal.

P190 - TE Greg Dulcich (UCLA 6'5" / 250) - not elite, but has AA skills and ceiling for TE2

Outcome: Falcons draft 6 presumed starters out of 10 players. It would be 7 if Salyer wins a starting job.
