After a long offseason, it’s finally here. The Atlanta Falcons will host the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday, which means the team is putting in final prep work before the regular season opener. With that, we have received the first injury report of the season.
You can expect to see the practice reports here every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for when the Falcons play on Thursday night or have a Bye Week.
Wednesday’s official practice report:
FULL PARTICIPATION
- N/A
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
- LB Brandon Copeland (hamstring)
NO PARTICIPATION
- N/A
As you can see, the Falcons are relatively healthy considering the first game is only days away. Copeland is the only player who pops up on the first practice report, as he’s dealing with a hamstring injury. The severity of it is unclear, but considering he’s limited this early in the week and not a “non-participant,” I’d take it as a positive sign for his availability against the Eagles.
There was some other injury news earlier today, as the team officially placed cornerback Kendall Sheffield on injured reserve. Additionally, we received an early look at the Eagles injury report that had offensive guard Brandon Brooks, offensive lineman Landon Dickerson, safety Rodney McLeod and linebacker Davion Taylor all limited in practice on Wednesday.
We will continue to monitor the practice report throughout the rest of the week.
