Falcons injury report: Marlon Davidson, Russell Gage not practicing on Thursday

The Falcons health report for Thursday, Sept. 30

As we continue along prepping for the Week 4 matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and the Washington Football Team, we continue to monitor the practice reports for both teams. On Wednesday, the Falcons saw the return of corner A.J. Terrell, who had been recovering from a concussion causing him to miss last weekend’s game.

You can expect to see the practice reports here every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for when the Falcons play on Thursday night or have a bye week.

LIMITED PARTICIPATION

NO PARTICIPATION

  • RB Antonio Gibson (shin)
  • DT Matt Ioannidis (knee)
  • DB Benjamin St-Juste (concussion)

With only one more practice remaining this week, defensive tackle Marlon Davidson and wide receiver Russell Gage will be two to monitor. Both Falcons’ players are dealing with ankle injuries which could keep them sidelined against Washington if things don’t improve on Friday. Some good news, corner A.J. Terrell practiced for the second-straight day. Terrell missed last Sunday’s game against the New York Giants due to a concussion he sustained in Week 2.

Additionally, guard Colby Gossett, wide receiver Frank Darby and safety Erik Harris, who were all limited in Wednesday’s practice, practiced in full on Thursday. As long as there are no setbacks, all three should be good to go this weekend, with Darby possibly getting to suit up for his first NFL game, if Gage is ruled out.

On the Washington side of things, running back Antonio Gibson did not practice on Thursday, and is definitely someone to monitor heading into Sunday’s game. If Gibson were to miss the game due to a shin injury, look for Jaret Patterson and former Falcons’ undrafted free agent J.D. McKissic step into his place. Some good news for Washington is guard Brandon Scherff returning to full participation. Scherff was held out of Wednesday’s practice due to a chest injury.
