Only three days remain until the Atlanta Falcons fly south and face the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons returned to practice on Wednesday, as nobody appeared on the team’s official injury report. Things would be slightly different on Thursday as they prepare for Sunday’s game.

You can expect to see the practice reports here every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for when the Falcons play on Thursday night or have a Bye Week.

Thursday’s official practice report:

FULL PARTICIPATION

  • N/A

LIMITED PARTICIPATION

  • WR Frank Darby (calf)

NO PARTICIPATION

  • N/A

As mentioned above, nobody appeared on the team’s injury report on Wednesday. On Thursday however, we saw wide receiver Frank Darby appear with a calf issue. This is probably not a big deal in the context of things though, as Darby was only limited in practice. He was a healthy scratch last weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles, so he may not play in this one regardless of how healthy he is. With one more day of practice remaining this week, we’ll see if Darby is upgraded to full participation on Friday.

Looking at the Buccaneers official practice report, defensive tackle Steve McLendon was added to their injury report on a veteran rest day. Outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul was also absent from practice on Thursday after being limited in practice on Wednesday with a hand injury.

With the Falcons’ offensive line needing all the help they can get, Pierre-Paul’s status for Sunday will be something we will continue to monitor.
