The Falcons were finally on broadcast down here in Florida, so this intrepid scribe got to enjoy some preseason football. Even though the Falcons lost, we did get to see some first-team action — including some nifty work by tight end Kyle Pitts.

The left guard spot has been one of the worst on Atlanta’s line since Andy Levitre’s retirement, and it’s one that has truly come down to a camp and preseason battle. Unfortunately, it will be one of the last positions we get clarity on when it comes to the depth chart.

Final roster prediction

The cuts will be coming swiftly in the wake of Atlanta’s final preseason game. Our Kevin Knight took a stab at his final 53-man roster ahead of last night’s clash with Cleveland — we’ll see if the final game changed some things.
