We’ve made it. Today’s the final preseason game after one of the longest offseasons I can remember, and the next time the Falcons suit up it will be against the Eagles in their season opener. All that stands between us and that sweet, sweet regular season action is this game and the many roster moves to come.
This will be the most interesting preseason game thus far, though I can’t promise it’ll be enjoyable. That’s because we’re going to get at least a short stint from the starters, a matchup against a very promising football team and because we know we don’t have to pace ourselves to watch another game of potentially sloppy blowout football.
Here’s how you can watch. Go Falcons and stay healthy, as always.
Atlanta Falcons vs. Cleveland Browns, Preseason Week 3
When: Sunday, August 29 at 8:00 p.m. EST
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
Channel: NBC
Announcers: Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Michelle Tafoya
Streaming: Peacock app (with subscription); NBC Sports app
Radio: 92.9 The Game
Key Questions: Will we see all the starters, or will the likes of Matt Ryan and maybe Kyle Pitts sit this one out? Will there be decisive separation in the handful of remaining battles for starting spots, like left guard and punter? Can the Falcons look competitive with starters in against a very good Browns team?
Prediction: Don’t worry about the score. Given that the Browns are very good and the Falcons still seem likely to put a hard cap on their starters’ snaps, this one could once again be ugly. Concentrate on how the starters hold up and the position battles, and remember the next Falcons game comes in the regular season!
