While the reports indicate the Falcons may not play starters in the preseason game against the Dolphins, Will McFadden and I are still holding out hope that maybe the team will trot them out for a series or two before the deeper roster evaluation begins.
We discussed this and more on our latest Falcoholic Podcast. Topics include:
- The benefit to seeing the starters play for a series or two, including the potential of finally seeing Kyle Pitts on the field
- Why having some starters on the offensive line could help in the evaluation of the running back depth
- The relative importance of receivers further down the roster in a tight-end focused Arthur Smith offense
- The immediate impact Dean Pees may be having and why players like Ade Ogundeji may be developing faster than anticipated
- Wanting to see the depth at the cornerback position before feeling fully confident in this new defense
- So much more
