How to watch the Falcons-Dolphins preseason game tonight

The Falcons will try to build on a good week of practice in a weekend tilt with Miami.

This week was an encouraging one for the Falcons. In their two joint practices this week, the Atlanta defense did a nice job against Miami in general, while their first team offense had an encouraging amount of success mixed in with turnovers. I’m sure Arthur Smith and company feel like that trip was worth it, and it sets up for tonight’s preseason game.

The big questions here concern the remaining big position battles—it’s basically down to left guard, punt returner, and the shape of the outside linebacker and defensive line rotations, given that Kaleb McGary has eased back in at right tackle and Isaiah Oliver appears to have sewn up the nickel job—and how much we’ll actually see of the starters. Otherwise, all we’re really hoping for is a watchable effort that’s an improvement over last week, and of course no injuries.

Go Falcons, and stay healthy.

Atlanta Falcons @ Miami Dolphins, Preseason Week 2

Key Questions: Will we see starters tonight after they largely sat out the first preseason game? Will the battle at left guard heat up or will Josh Andrews lock it up? Will the Falcons pass rush look sharp again with some Miami starters potentially on the field? At what point will the game become unwatchable?

Prediction: Again, the score doesn’t matter. I do think we’ll see at least a slightly improved effort in this one, though, with the offense managing to score a few points but still very few starters in the game.
