Your Patriots-Eagles preseason Thursday Night Football open thread

The Falcons will see two 2021 opponents meet in tonight’s preseason game, which may make it of interest to Atlanta fans. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are up first in the season opener for the Falcons, while the Patriots are up in mid-November.

As is always the case with preseason games, this one will be a mixed bag, but there’s enough intrigue here to make it worth tuning in to. Gifted receiver DeVonta Smith will make his debut for Philadelphia tonight, Cam Newton and Mac Jones are still duking it out for the Patriots starting quarterback gig and there’s the open questions of whether Philly will be any good with a rookie head coach and whether the Patriots can return to relevance.
