It’s Friday. We’re tired, but we’ve got links. Training camp starts in under a week, so we have plenty of camp-centric content for you to digest whilst ignoring emails.

Rest in peace, Greg Knapp

Sad news for the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets yesterday, as it was announced that former Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Greg Knapp had passed away after a cycling accident. Knapp was well-regarded as “one of the good guys” in the NFL, and will certainly be missed around the league, and here at The Falcoholic.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Knapp family, the New York Jets, and those who had the pleasure of knowing Greg Knapp. Rest in peace.

Training camp previews

Falcons training camp gets underway in just under a week, and our Kevin Knight has been providing you with his positional previews and looming battles prior to camp’s kickoff. See his latest previews below:

What battles are you most looking forward to during training camp?

Former Falcons DL Cliff Matthews joins camp as a fellow

I realize that sub-headline could be read in a British accent or like an old prospector wrote it. That’s why I just went ahead and submitted it. It’s Friday.

Cliff Matthews will be attending Atlanta Falcons camp as one of four Bill Walsh Coaching Fellows.

An extension for Grady?

Does it happen? The Falcons freed up some cap space in the Julio Jones trade to get its draft class under contract and make some free agent signings, but do they pull the trigger on an extension now?

Audio/Visual #Content

Hitting on all cylinders this week on the podcast and Falcoholic Live front (not that the team doesn’t do that on the regular). In the lead-up to camp, we have much to discuss. So we discussed it.
