Sunday open thread: What are you looking forward to from the Falcons this season?

Let’s chat about the Falcons.

NFL: Atlanta Falcons Mandatory Minicamp Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Hello, fellow Falcoholics. We’re smack dab in the middle of the quietest point of the offseason, so there’s not much Falcons news to discuss. We are, however, just a few weeks away from seeing this team on the field under Arthur Smith’s leadership, and there’s plenty to look forward to.

If you’d asked me before Julio Jones was traded what I’m most excited about this coming season, I would have said seeing Julio on the field with Calvin Ridley and Kyle Pitts and just absolutely devastating defenses. Even with Julio gone, I’m still really looking forward to seeing what Arthur Smith does with these weapons and how he’s able to apply his offensive line background to improve the performance of that unit.

We also have a lot of unknowns on the defense under the leadership of Dean Pees. Will this defense improve enough to give the team a fighting chance at a decent season? It won’t be too long until we start to find out.

What are you most looking forward to about this Falcons season? Discuss that and anything else (within the context of our community guidelines) in the comments below.
