It’s Friday, which means there are some real fresh links for you to peruse as you work through your morning routine. Read on for Falcoholinks to kick off your weekend.

Scouting reports

It’s 2021 NFL Draft month, which means things are really ramping up in advance of the biggest events in the league’s offseason. As such, our draft experts Eric Robinson have a few scouting reports for you to get caught up on some prospects who may be on Atlanta’s radar.

First we begin with Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell, regarded as one of the top tackle prospects in years — and a player who should be there at No. 4 on the draft board should the Falcons want him.

Then we move to the secondary, where the Falcons certainly have a need. One of Eric Robinson’s top safeties in the 2021 NFL Draft, Florida State’s Hamsah Nasirildeen can bring versatility to Dean Pees’ defense and help mitigate the losses of Keanu Neal, Ricardo Allen, and Damontae Kazee.

Atlanta also has a pretty glaring need in the center of its offensive line, so our Everett Glaze evaluated Alabama center Landon Dickerson.

Draft rumblings

It’s that time. The draft misdirection and smoke and rumblings have increased in their frequency and pitch, and one of the biggest reports this week came from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, who indicates that Atlanta’s new regime might have differing ideas about wha t to do at No. 4.

The Panthers opting to deal for Sam Darnold may complicate that situation, as they may no longer be a threat to move ahead of the Falcons to nab a quarterback — and further muddying the water if Atlanta wants to move back in the draft order.

Our Will McFadden explored that very real possibility, as well — taking a look at what the Falcons should look for in a trade package should they decide to trade back.

Are there any wrong answers?

This is a critical draft for the Atlanta Falcons — and with that being the understood context, are there really any wrong answers for Atlanta in the 2021 NFL Draft?

MOOOOOCKS

Here’s a fun one. If draft night turns the corner to Tradetown during the top 10 picks, this is a scenario that could shake out for the Falcons if things get wacky.
