It’s finally here, folks. We’re so close to seeing which player the Falcons will select in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond ready. I’m tired of the discourse, the takes, the speculation, and the smokescreens. I just want to see which player Terry Fontenot and Arthur Smith decide makes the most sense for their Falcons in Round 1.

It’s been kind of invigorating to really not know what to expect from Fontenot and Smith this year. Pick No. 4 is very up in the air right now. I think Kyle Pitts would be a dynamic addition to this already talented offense. I can buy that Trey Lance makes sense knowing he’s only 20 and would benefit from some time to learn behind Matt Ryan on the depth chart. They could trade back and build their draft capital, and as long as they don’t do anything stupid wherever they do end up picking, that works.

The Falcons could go about a million different directions, and I think the only one that might truly make me angry would be taking a punter or kicker at No. 4. It’s really not a bad spot to be in.
