The day is finally here! The NFL draft kicks off tonight at 8PM and the collective NFL community can breathe a sigh of relief as the rumors and speculation will come to a crashing halt. Before we get there, though, we wanted to do a final run through of some of the rumors surrounding the Falcons.

Veteran reporter Jeff Schultz joined me to talk about these very things on our latest podcast. Our topics include:

  • The Julio Jones trade rumors, why it makes sense and why Jeff thinks there’s a greater than 50% chance it happens
  • The crazy amount of smoke around the QBs at the top of the draft and why Mac Jones really does appear to be the guy for San Francisco
  • The absolute uncertainty of what Atlanta will do with its pick and why the decision is probably still not certain
  • What the team may end up doing on days 2 and 3 for a roster with a multitude of needs

If you’re not a subscriber to The Athletic, I’d highly recommend you consider it, especially if you’re a fan of multiple Atlanta sports teams. Tori McElhaney and Jeff Schultz do a wonderful job of covering the team there.

As always, you can find the podcast wherever fine podcasts are available or you can listen below:
