Hey! It’s Friday! And we’ve got a bunch of links!

OL Josh Andrews signed

The Falcons shored up some interior offensive line depth earlier in the week by signing former New York Jet Josh Andrews to a one-year contract. It fits the mold with the moves Atlanta has made thus far, opting for inexpensive vets on short-term deals rather than splashy signings.

‘Ello Guvnah

The league confirmed that it would move to a 17-game season in 2021, and it also confirmed that the Atlanta Falcons would play a home game in London this year.

Kiper’s Big Board

Mel Kiper has released his 2021 NFL Draft board, and in the vein of Kiper, it’s a bit wacky. We took the likely Falcons targets on his board and looked at how it may shake out based on his player rankings.

Scouting report: UCF free safety Richie Grant

We have three UCF alums on staff here at The Falcoholic — me being one of them — so it’s hard not to get excited about the prospect of safety Richie Grant landing with the Falcons. He’s widely regarded as one of the most talented defensive backs in this draft class, and our Eric Robinson has the lowdown on what Grant can bring to the table at the NFL level.

Remaining needs

We’re a little less than a month from the 2021 NFL Draft, so we’re asking the questions: What are the Falcons’ biggest remaining needs on offense, and what are their biggest needs on defense?

OTAs won’t start early

The Falcons won’t start OTAs early in 2021, as the league has instructed all teams that they are to begin on April 19.

The Falcoholic Live Episode 139

You know long snapper Josh Harris would jump in on The Falcoholic Live at some point, right? No? Well, he did this week — talking his history with the team he’s been with since 2012 and thoughts on entering a season with a new head coach and general manager.

Oh, and the crew from The Falcoholic Live also conducted a 7-round mock draft. If you missed the episode you can view the entire thing right here.
