Free agency swings into gear this week, so we focus on that in this Monday’s Falcoholinks.
Greatest Falcons Moments bracket
March Madness is nearly upon us, and to join in on the fun with some Falcons content we’ve put together a bracket to determine greatest Atlanta Falcons moment of all time. Check out the regions below:
Falcons restructure Jake Matthews’ contract
In an effort to clear some cap space for the coming free-agent period, the Falcons are seeking any creative avenue they can. Over the weekend they restructured left tackle Jake Matthews’ contract, converting his $13 million base salary into a signing bonus.
They’re within striking distance of getting under the cap number, but there are likely more restructures and contract maneuvering forthcoming.
TE Jaeden Graham re-signed
Tight end is a position that Atlanta may address in either free agency or the draft — or both, but they’ve already made a move to keep one of their younger players at the position on the squad by signing Jaeden Graham to a one-year deal.
A look at the roster
Free agency kicks off on Wednesday, so in preparation for that we took one final look at the Falcons’ roster and keyed in on some areas that warrant improvement and additions.
Cornerback targets
In his latest video on free agency, our Kevin Knight explored the options at cornerback — a position that Atlanta is expected to address during the free-agent period.
