The Super Bowl is behind us, and it’s officially the offseason for the Atlanta Falcons. We’ve got news and notes on free agent possibilities and more in today’s edition of Falcoholinks.
Foye discusses his breakout season
Foyesade Oluokun established himself as one of the NFL’s best young linebackers in 2020, and he recently sat down with our Evan Birchfield to talk about what led to his emergence last year, as well as the road ahead.
MOOOOOCKS
Another Falcoholic mock draft for your Monday perusal. Our Eric Robinson’s second mock draft of the year sees Atlanta trading back in first round and snagging possibly the best defensive player available.
Free agent possibilities
Historically, the Falcons haven’t been particularly active in the free agency period to address needs, but with a new regime in place we may see more signings and new faces in Atlanta.
One area that could be addressed is the offensive line, and in the latest in his video series, our Kevin Knight took a look at some of the OL names who the Falcons may bring in.
And as the Falcons new VP of player personnel Kyle Smith may have some Football Team names in mind that he could lobby for the team to bring in.
Holding on
The Falcons were a collapse machine in 2020, blowing a number of leads in at times comical fashion, but it wasn’t just last year. One game in particular stands out. The blown leads almost have an expectancy component to them now, and it’s why their singular focus under Arthur Smith has to be holding on to win games.
