Falcoholic Podcast: Hate week victories are the best kind of victories

It may have featured a blown lead and late game heroics, but beating the Saints will always be glorious.

This was not an easy game to watch. Watching an 18-point lead slip away and to have it happen against the New Orleans Saints is like being stabbed in the heart repeatedly. Yet, Matt Ryan and Cordarelle Patterson were having none of it and they rescued us all for a late game win on the road against our most hated division rival.

Evan and I talk about it on the postgame podcast. Topics include:

  • The absolutely incredible game from Matt Ryan and how his game reaches another level when he’s given time in the pocket
  • The unbelievable Cordarrelle Patterson and why he’s been such an amazing surprise
  • The crazy-good game from CB A.J. Terrell and how he’s become a true shutdown corner
  • The impressive strip sack from James Vaughters
  • The fact that the coaching staff needs to self-scout and not take this win for granted. They did a lot to try and lose it
  • So much more
