Steven Means has unfortunately left the game against the New Orleans Saints early in the fourth quarter. He got injured following a fumble recovery in a crucial moment in the game for the Falcons.
Following a James Vaughters strip-sack of Taysom Hill, Means picked up the ball and took it back 32 yards to the New Orleans 6-yard-line before getting chased down by Tre’Quon Smith. Means suffered a knee injury on the play.

The good news is that Means walked off under his own power, so we hope that this is not a serious long-term injury.
Means’ effort was not in vain, as the Falcons scored a touchdown to extend their lead to 24-6 one play later. This play came at a point when Hill and the Saints started moving downfield and generating some momentum in the middle of a comeback attempt.
We will keep you updated on Means’ status moving forward.
