Falcoholinks: All the Falcons news you need for Thursday, Nov. 4

The latest, greatest, and shortest Falcons news.

NFL: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons play the New Orleans Saints this weekend. While there is not a lot of news about Atlanta, there have been some developments with New Orleans. Their starting quarterback, Jameis Winston, is out for the year. Their starting tight end, Michael Thomas, is also out for the year.

Atlanta should match up with RB/TE/OW/QB Tayson Hill, assuming he returns from his concussion.

AJ Terrell could be a superstar

Our Evan Birchfield broke down Terrell’s phenomenal sophomore year. You may not have seen a lot of Terrell on the field because quarterbacks have been avoiding him with a passion. Birchfield has plenty of interesting analysis why Terrell is one of the best young defenders in the league.

Take a trip down Saints memory lane

There are plenty of memorable matchups between the Falcons and the Saints. Some of them were even enjoyable for Falcons fans. Dave Choate talked about some of his favorites, but hop to the comments to give us yours.

Can Atlanta’s bad defense slow down a busted Saints offense?

Drew Brees is gone, meaning the Saints are no longer the Saints we know (and hate). A lot of top talent is gone, injured, or aging. The Falcons made not have a good defense, but can Dean Pees take advantage of all the changes in New Orleans? David Walker looks at the most interesting battles for Sunday’s game.

An in-depth breakdown for Sunday’s matchup

What players on the Saints do you have to worry about? What’s their offense look like? Is Alvin Kamara still good? Dave Choate breaks down everything you need to know.

Punter shuffle?

No one can get enough punter news. Cameron Nizialek may be ready to return from injured reserve. If he does, it could push Dustin Colquitt off of the roster.

Defensive lineman pops up with a concussion

The Falcons look pretty healthy, with some interesting news like Russell Gage is nursing an injury. More problematic is defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard missed practice with a concussion. Atlanta already lacks talent along the defensive line. Things will be even worse if depth becomes a problem.
