Falcoholinks: All the Falcons news you need for Monday, Oct. 4

NFL: Washington Football Team at Atlanta Falcons Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons are bad and they lost again. Here’s Falcoholinks!

Falcons - Football Team recap

To love the Atlanta Falcons is to love that which makes a point to perpetually hurt you. You accept that — you’re a masochist just like the rest of us. But when it really hurts? It really hurts when they find creative ways to make everything feel bad.

Yesterday was as creative as you can draw ‘em up, with the Falcons blowing what looked like a win against the Football Team, a collapse only the Falcons are capable of.

Does this mean Arthur Smith shaves off the Win Beard? We’re following that story closely, as as we are steady on the Falcons coach beard beat.

Bottom line: This team is not good at the moment.

Isaiah Oliver was carted off in the first half after taking a strong shot on a blitz pickup by running back J.D. McKissic. He was ruled out with a knee injury, and it’s possible that the Falcons could be without one of their best players in the secondary for some time.

Punter Cameron Nizialek went down with an odd injury, appearing to tweak his right hamstring in the second half on a punt attempt. He was ruled out of the game.
