For the first time since early in the 2019 season, the Atlanta Falcons have a .500 record. To some teams, this may not be a big deal, but to Falcons’ fans who have witnessed a ton of heartbreak over the last few seasons, it means a lot. According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, roughly 9 out of 10 Falcons fans feel confident about where the team currently sits, with a 3-3 record.

As you can see from the graphic above, this is the most confidence Falcons’ fans have had in the team all season. The 36% confidence level fans had in Week 2 seems like the distant past now, as the team prepares to face the Carolina Panthers for their second divisional game of the season.

Aside from having a two-game win streak, the emergence of rookie tight end Kyle Pitts likely plays into the surge in confidence. Additionally, veteran quarterback Matt Ryan is statistically playing the best football that he has in years. There’s a lot to feel good about around these parts, even if we’re waiting for the defense to catch up.

It’s not just Falcons fans who feel like the team is heading in the right direction, as a majority of fans around the league expect the Falcons’ two-game win streak to extend into another week.

The Falcons have the opportunity to have an above .500 record for the first time since the 2017 season, with a win over Carolina on Sunday. Depending on the outcome of this weekend’s game, we’ll see which direction Falcons’ fans confidence heads in next week.
