Falcoholic Podcast: Atlanta takes down the Dolphins as Kyle Pitts dominates

How is a rookie tight end already this good?

We get it. The Falcons defense is not good. Losing Dante Fowler certainly didn’t help and losing your best cornerback during the game isn’t great either. The Dolphins aren’t a good team but our defense certainly made them look like it. Yet, in the end, the Falcons were able to lean on Matt Ryan (who leaned on Kyle Pitts) for another fourth quarter comeback.

We talked about all of this on our latest postgame podcast with Evan Birchfield and yours truly. Topics discussed:

  • The absolute dominance of Kyle Pitts against an underrated Dolphins secondary
  • Matt Ryan’s third consecutive strong game and why he should be appreciated more
  • The emergence of Cordarelle Patterson as the top running back on the roster
  • Concerns over Calvin Ridley and his overall performance this season
  • The terrible defense and why the injuries that are piling up may keep this team from being their best
  • More love for Kyle Pitts and Younghoe Koo
  • So much more
