It’s the Ides of October and of course we’ve got Falcoholinks ahead of the bye week. Read on to get your weekend started.

Reasons to hold on to hope

The Falcons did not start this season in a fashion that generated any optimism, but there are a number of reasons to view this team in a more positive light after the bye week.

One of those reasons could be Kyle Pitts’ breakout performance against the Jets in London, and we still have yet to see the bulk of the rookie class receive meaningful snaps — or any snaps at all.

Slow and steady improvement under a new coaching staff should be the primary focus.

Looking past this week’s bye, a lot will hinge on the respective injury reports from both the Dolphins and the Falcons.

Things got off to a rocky start, to say the least, but there’s hope yet for these Atlanta Falcons.

A review through five

Our Aaron Freeman and Allen Strk took on the task of reviewing the best and worst that this team offered through five weeks of its 2021 season.

Three players brought in for workouts

With an apparent focus on special teams, the Falcons brought in three players for workouts on Tuesday.

No signings as yet, so we’ll monitor this ahead of next week’s game against the Dolphins.

NFC South report

How did the rest of the division fare in Week 5? Cory Woodroof’s got you with his report on the NFC South.
