It’s finally Friday which means two things: It’s almost the weekend and the Atlanta Falcons have held their final practice of the week. On Sunday, the Falcons will host the Washington Football Team in a battle of 1-2 teams who have both defeated the New York Giants. We’ve been monitoring both team’s practice reports throughout the week, so let’s get into Friday’s all-important report which gives us the best insight into who may or may not play this Sunday.
You can expect to see the practice reports here every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for when the Falcons play on Thursday night or have a bye week.

On the Falcons side of things, there are no real surprises. If you’ve been following our injury report throughout the week, you’ll recall that both Russell Gage and Marlon Davidson have been held out of practices due to ankle injuries. There’s currently no timeline for their returns, but we do know that they will not be playing this Sunday against Washington. Atlanta will need to offset the lose of Gage and Davidson somehow to be productive Sunday.
A.J. Terrell will officially return for the Falcons on Sunday, after missing last week’s game due to a concussion. With Gage and Davidson ruled out, expect to see some more Olamide Zaccheaus and possibly, John Cominsky active for only the second time this season.
Washington will be without corner Benjamin St-Juste, who has been absent from practice this week as he remains in concussion protocol. They do however have some key players listed as questionable heading into Sunday’s game.
Antonio Gibson, who is one of the more underrated running backs in the NFL, popped up on Thursday’s report with a shin injury, which held him out of practice. On Friday, Gibson was upgraded to limited although he has a questionable designation and will likely be a game-time decision. Defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis has been dealing with a knee injury, and although he was a full participant on Friday, he is listed as questionable for Sunday. One additional name to look for is wide receiver Curtis Samuel who has been activated off injured reserve and will make his season debut against the Falcons.
We’ll know more on Sunday prior to the 1 p.m. ET start as both teams release their game inactives.
