Watch the Saturday NFL Wild Card weekend games

Let’s root against the Buccaneers together.

The playoffs won’t feature our beloved Atlanta Falcons because they were once again lousy, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have postseason rooting interests. We’ll get to put those to work for the first time today, the opening day of Wild Card weekend.

There are three games today due to the expanded playoff format, which features seven teams and only one team with a bye. Here’s the schedule for today:

Colts vs. Bills, 1:05 p.m.

Rams vs. Seahawks, 4:40 p.m.

Buccaneers vs. Football Team, 8:10 p.m.

There are some good games here. The Bills are one of the league’s best teams this year, but the Colts are still a tough out with a balanced attack and a sometimes fearsome defense. I’ve got Buffalo winning this one, but not handily.

Rams-Seahawks should favor the Seahawks, who are not either going to be playing with an albatross quarterback or a backup one, but it goes without saying that divisional games are always nuts, even when they’re in the postseason. I’d expect this to be close.

Finally, it’s the Bucs against Washington, and I’ll be rooting hard for the Football Team to knock Tom Brady and Tampa Bay out of the playoffs right away. I don’t like those guys.

Use this as your open thread for the day!
