Matt Ryan passes Brett Favre for 4th-most TD passes through 13 seasons

It’s another mark for Ryan, who is capping off a tough season with a strong effort.

Matt Ryan would probably like to forget a lot of the 2020 season, given that Atlanta has stunk and he’s had his fair share of clunkers along the way. By virtue of his longevity and his excellence over the years, though, he’s still hitting a ton of milestones in his 13th season in the NFL.

In this one, Ryan connected on a touchdown pass that tied him with Brett Favre for the 4th-most touchdown passes through 13 seasons. Later in the game, he surpassed Favre and now has that spot all to himself.

Nobody knows what’s ahead for Ryan in Atlanta or for the rest of his career, but he’s put together a killer career we’ll likely all appreciate more with time. I just wish the Falcons had picked up a Super Bowl win before now so we could embrace the future without any big”what ifs?” or “why are the Falcons getting blown off the field by the Bucs in Week 17?” He’ll finish the year top 10 in most passing categories all-time, and the next regime will need to decide whether they’ll down with Ryan for the next few years or if they’re looking for Atlanta’s next franchise quarterback.
