It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for, as a real-life NFL game will be played tomorrow. Today, though, we have the conclusion of my Madden 21 simulation series.

If you missed the first three parts of the series, I highly recommend going back and checking them out before continuing on, which you can do by clicking the labeled links below. For fun, I’m simulating the Atlanta Falcons’ 2020 season on Madden 21 to see what fun statistics and outcomes are made within the virtual world.

Part I (Weeks 1-6) | Part II (Weeks 7-12) | Part III (Weeks 13-17)

Without further ado, let’s get to the playoffs!

After a (3-5) start, the Falcons went (6-2) to finish the 2020 regular season, which helped propel them into the playoffs. Matt Ryan is on the path to being named league MVP, as his numbers are through the roof. Also, Wild Card Weekend this year has more games, due to the expanded playoff format.

NFC Wild Card

(11-5) Seattle Seahawks vs. (10-5-1) Tampa Bay Buccaneers

(10-6) Chicago Bears vs. (11-5) San Francisco 49ers

(9-7) Atlanta Falcons vs. (11-5) Green Bay Packers

*Bye week for (13-3) Dallas Cowboys

AFC Wild Card

(11-5) Cleveland Browns vs. (8-8) New York Jets

(9-7) Pittsburgh Steelers vs. (9-7) Indianapolis Colts

(9-7) Los Angeles Chargers vs. (11-5) Baltimore Ravens

*Bye week for (12-4) Kansas City Chiefs

Wild Card — (9-7) Falcons vs. (11-5) Packers

This is a rematch of Week 4, when the Falcons narrowly defeated the Packers on Monday Night Football, 36-33. Matt Ryan had a tremendous 5 touchdown passes which helped the Falcons secure the victory for Atlanta.

In this one, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would come out hot, going 4-4 passing and throwing a touchdown to wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to give the Packers the early lead. To end the second quarter, the Falcons would have a lengthy drive resulting in a 3-yard touchdown run by Todd Gurley. It would be 14-23 Packers heading into halftime however.

It would unfortunately get out of hand in the second half. The Falcons offense just couldn’t get off the ground while the Packers kept pouring it on them, . The Falcons 2020 campaign has come to an end.

FINAL: Packers 43, Falcons 21

QB Ryan: 25/49 att, 285 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

RB Gurley: 12 carries, 46 yards, 2 TDs

WR Jones: 8 receptions, 100 yards

Injuries: None

End of Part IV (2020 Falcons season)

Well, that does it. Although the statistics weren’t very realistic, it still felt like a Falcons type of season. I have the Falcons team leaders statistics included at the end of Part III, which you can view by clicking here. Matt Ryan won the prestigious MVP award, the second of his career.

Falcons players selected to the Pro Bowl:

In the end, Madden 21 predicted Super Bowl LV would be between the Steelers and Cowboys, with the Cowboys winning 27-24.

Thanks to everyone who followed me on this virtual journey, as I did work hard on this, as silly as it was. If you all enjoyed it leading up to the regular season, perhaps it’ll make a return next year. If you have any specific questions, let me know in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer them.
