Welcome to Week 3. The Falcons can win this weekend, salvage things to some degree and get something to build on, and then figure out what’s next, or they can lose and be in a hole that will be nigh impossible to get out of. It’s really up to them.
We’ll be here watching it either way, though for the sake of our Sundays I hope it’s a win. That will require a crisp day from the offense, though perhaps not quite as crisp as would’ve been required to beat Seattle and Dallas, plus a great deal of improvement from the defense. It’s not an impossible ask, but again, we need to see it to believe it.
Use this as your open thread, and as always, go Falcons!
Atlanta Falcons vs. Chicago Bears, Week 3
When: Sunday, September 27, 1:00 p.m. EST
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
Channel: FOX
Announcers: Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, Shannon Spake
Streaming: FOXSportsGo
Radio: 92.9 The Game
Key Questions: Will the Falcons be able to put up gobs of points against arguably the best defense they’ve faced thus far? Can the Bears keep pace if the Falcons do start rolling? Will injured players like Takk McKinley and Julio Jones be ready to go in time for kickoff, and what happens if they’re not?
Prediction: I do not want to predict a Falcons win, not after the last two weeks. I have a feeling I’ll be eating crow again. However, we’re going for it. Falcons 34-Bears 31.
