Like it or not, you’re probably watching the Falcons play the Bears on Sunday. What we’re hoping for is that the game is enjoyable to watch, like the first half of Falcons-Cowboys, and not a horrifying slow motion train wreck, like the second half of Falcons-Cowboys.
I don’t have to tell you that it’s critical that Atlanta comes out of this weekend with a win. Something like 6 times since 1980 have overcome an 0-3 start, and the Falcons have six typically close games against the NFC South and games against the Packers, Chiefs, and other legitimate contenders on the docket ahead of them. They need to take care of business in Chicago to stay afloat, especially because the Bears are one of the easiest matchups on the schedule despite their 2-0 record.
If you are watching, you’ll find what you need to know below.
Atlanta Falcons vs. Chicago Bears, Week 3
When: Sunday, September 27, 1:00 p.m. EST
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
Channel: FOX
Announcers: Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, Shannon Spake
Streaming: FOXSportsGo
Radio: 92.9 The Game
Key Questions: Will the Falcons be able to put up gobs of points against arguably the best defense they’ve faced thus far? Can the Bears keep pace if the Falcons do start rolling? Will injured players like Takk McKinley and Julio Jones be ready to go in time for kickoff, and what happens if they’re not?
Prediction: I do not want to predict a Falcons win, not after the last two weeks. I have a feeling I’ll be eating crow again. However, we’re going for it. Falcons 34-Bears 31.
