If you had seen this matchup a year ago, when the Jaguars and Dolphins were scuffling badly, you would’ve thought there was no chance you were watching it in 2020 unless you were really bored.
Instead, this is shaping up to be a really intriguing matchup. The Dolphins have one of better secondaries in the entire league and fought Buffalo hard just a week ago, even if they’re not exactly ready to contend just yet. The Jaguars, meanwhile, came awfully close to moving to 2-0 behind Gardner Minshew’s excellence, James Robinson rolling as an undrafted free agent rookie, and a roster that’s more talented overall then we might’ve guessed after they spend the offseason largely blowing things up.
I don’t know if either team is going to be a force in the AFC or anything, but this should be an enjoyable game, at the very least. Watch it with your fellow fans and comment along here.
