Falcons vs Cowboys: Who was the defensive player of the game?

This will be a short, short list.

NFL: Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons suck. Hard. Really hard. Like, reinforced steel and concrete hard. Yet, here we are. Looking at which players on the defense did not suck, which is an admittedly short list when you give up 40 points in a game and 39 on average over two games. Please vote.

Foye Oluokun

Truthfully, this guy was insane in the first half. He caused several fumbles early on and apparently had the magic touch for forcing them. He was a shining light in what would ultimately be a dark, dark night. It’s unfortunate that he left the game early due to an injury. He was one of the few players on the defense that was having a legitimate impact.

Grady Jarrett

He pulled in another .5 a sack on the day and a big tackle for loss. At this point, it’s more surprising when Grady is not on this list than when he is. Yet, the team needs to surround him with more playmakers. There’s only so much he can do on his own.

The Freaking Clock

This defense gave up 40 points. It was painful to watch them fall apart in the second half. Thankfully, time does continue moving, even if its pace is slow and painful at times (particularly during Falcons games). Thank god time does not freeze in the middle of heartbreak.

No clue, who do you think?

Please, help me find the lone bright spot. I’m counting on all of you to rescue this article. Please?
