The only thing piling up faster than points against the Dallas Cowboys is injuries. Takkarist McKinley and Kaleb McGary left earlier in the game, with McGary’s injury appearing very serious. Now add Ricardo Allen to the list of injured players who left the game.
Allen came in for a tackle on Ezekiel Elliot near the goal line. It is not clear where the injury came from, however, Allen came up favoring his hand or arm after Elliot clobbered the defensive back. He left the field with a trainer and his status is unclear.
It is also unclear how much of an impact Allen’s loss will have on this game. Allen played a shockingly small number of snaps in Week 1 with Damontae Kazee seemingly getting the start at free safety.
We will update when there is official word on Allen’s status. The Falcons are still moving the ball at will against the Cowboys, so losing a defensive player may not impact the game.
Update: Allen is questionable to return with an elbow injury.
