Takk McKinley leaves game against Dallas with groin injury, questionable to return

The pass rusher appeared to injure himself in the 1st quarter.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

With the Falcons up 14-0 against the Dallas Cowboys, the Atlanta defense has been absolutely bullying the Cowboys. Dallas has had no luck slowing down the pass rush due to their patchwork offensive line.

So far, we have seen nearly every defensive lineman getting pressure and penetration. Takk McKinley had been looking solid before he pulled up during a pass rush. While there is no official word yet, he appeared to favor his groin area and limped off the field.

The good news is the injury did not appear related to his problematic shoulder or appear to be a more serious injury. There is no official word yet on his return. With the Falcons dominating, the team will likely not rush him back out onto the field.

John Cominsky and Allen Bailey should see a lot more playing time with McKinley out.

Update: McKinley is questionable to return.
