Russell Gage suffered a helmet to helmet hit from Jamal Adams on the final drive of the first half and has been admitted to the medical tent for evaluation on what we presume is a head injury.

Unfortunately, he’s questionable to return after the hit from Jamal Adams.

The play occurred after a 10-yard reception by Gage which put the Falcons into field goal range. Following a run after the catch, Adams lowered his helmet and made contact with Gage’s helmet to initiate the injury.

Gage led the team with five receptions and had 54 receiving yards — second only to Calvin Ridley’s 56 yards — at that point. Younghoe Koo converted the subsequent field goal to make the score 14-12 going into the half.

If Gage were to miss the remainder of the game, Olamide Zaccheaus and Christian Blake would presumably see more snaps on offense.

If there are any updates on Russell Gage’s status, we will have them for you at the Falcoholic.
