Falcoholinks: All the Falcons news you need for Tuesday, Sept. 1

Fact: Jordan Miller can flex his ears

NFL: Pro Football Hall of Fame Game-Atlanta Falcons vs Denver Broncos Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Tuesday, Falcoholics! We are a mere 12 days removed from regular season football. It’s been one of the strangest if not the strangest offseason and preseason in recent memory, but it does appear the NFL is actually going to pull this off. That is, they will start the regular season on time. Where this all ends up is anyone’s guess, but they’ve made it farther than any of us really thought they would.

Our links sit in a vinegar-based marinade overnight before they’re hickory smoked to perfection.

Jordan Miller is the next man up in Kevin Knight’s player profile series. The former 5th round draft pick has to sit out the first 3 games of the season because of a PED violation, which is unfortunate, given his need to solidify a role on the Falcons depth chart. 2020 is a big year for Miller, and the time for him to prove himself is now.

Arthur Blank wrote a memoir about his business endeavors and that memoir is scheduled to hit the shelves in mid-September. Blank’s career spans decades and truth be told, it’s his business acumen that has put him in a position to be such a fantastic owner.

Evan Birchfield took a look at the UDFAs still on the roster that have the best chance to make the team. The absence of a preseason will make it extremely hard for any of these guys to truly showcase their talents, but there are some names we probably can’t rule out just yet.

The Falcoholic took a look at the current roster and came away with some educated guesses about what to expect going forward. We don’t know exactly who is safe and who may be headed out, but there are some safe bets worth considering.
