Falcons waive OL Scottie Dill

After recently bringing him back, the team has parted ways with the UDFA again.

The Atlanta Falcons aren’t strangers to waiving, re-signing and re-waiving players; just ask offensive lineman John Wetzel. Earlier this month undrafted rookie offensive lineman Scottie Dill was waived with the first major string of cuts which included veteran punter Ryan Allen. Dill recently returned to the Falcons.

Unfortunately for Dill, his time in Atlanta has again come to an end as the team announced that they’ve waived the young offensive lineman.

The news of Scottie Dill’s waiving comes a day after the Falcons hosted offensive linemen Ka’John Armstrong and OG Willie Beavers on Thursday afternoon. With that knowledge, and the team currently at 79 players, it’s possible one of those players could be signed. I also would be interested to see if the team looks at offensive lineman Kevin Pamphile, who was recently released by Washington. Pamphile spent the 2015-2017 seasons playing for Dirk Koetter in Tampa. For the time being though, the move is a good sign for undrafted rookie Evin Ksiezarczyk. I’ve been very vocal about my opinion on Ksiezarczyk, so much that I believe he has a real shot at being the team’s swing tackle.

A corresponding move is likely to occur in the near future. Stay tuned to The Falcoholic as we’ll be sure to bring you any further updates.
