The first Falcons 2016 NFC Championship ring is for sale to only the biggest fan out there, as long as the biggest fan has $17,500.00 for the ring (and $8.30 for shipping). That’s right: Get a token of the last good memory we had as Falcons fans, perhaps with the exception of the soon-to-come lead only weeks after beating the doors off the Green Bay Packers to send the Georgia Dome off in a fitting fashion.
What does the ALL CAPS description have to say about this historic ring? Apparently it is jam packed with diamonds.
THE RING TOP FEATURES 72 ROUND CUT PAVE-SET DIAMONDS AND THE FALCONS LOGO MADE FROM A CUSTOM-CUT ONYX STONE WITH RED ENAMAL. THE LOGO CREST IS SURROUNDED BY 48 ROUND DIAMONDS. THE TITLE READS 2016 NFC CHAMPIONS ALONG THE EDGE OF THE RING TOP ACCENTED BY 24 ROUND DIAMONDS. ALONG THE ENTIRE PERIMETER OF THE RING TOP IS A ROW OF 51 PRINCESS-CUT CORUNDUM RUBIES.
I’m sorry but this is just too many diamonds. The ring is what you would expect: lots of gold and so many sets of diamonds I can’t even count. In fact, the ring is pictured next to a New York Yankees World Championship ring and the Falcons ring absolutely dwarfs it. The most interesting thing may be that Super Bowl rings are apparently made by Jostens, a name you may vaguely remember as trying to sell you a high school class room when you were young enough to think that may be a good investment.
The ring for sale was made for one of the players. Take a good look if interested, but the name and number has been covered up. That, of course, never stops wild speculation! Thanks to some shaky cover-up, the first number is certainly a 1.
Due to the process of elimination, it could be any of these players:
- 11 Julio Jones
- 12 Mohamed Sanu
- 13 B. J. Daniels
- 14 Eric Weems
- 15 Nick Williams
- 16 Justin Hardy
- 18 Taylor Gabriel
- 19 Aldrick Robinson
The top of the second number appears flat, however, it is unclear how the numbers are otherwise set on the player rings.
There are currently only 17 watchers with the auction continuing for only a “limited time.” Shipping seems like such a great deal that you should absolutely buy this ring with your spare $17,508.30.
