Guess what day it is? That’s right, it’s the first day of training camp!

It’s here, it’s finally here. Today is the first official day of training camp in 2020. Before we get to news which will be available throughout the day today here at The Falcoholic, let’s review anything you may have missed recently.

Player profiles

One of our very talented writers Kevin Knight has been going through the roster with his player profiles series. This series takes a deep dive into everything from a specific players athletic attributes to his contract situation. Recently, Kevin has looked at Atlanta Falcons’ left tackle Jake Matthews and left guard Jamon Brown.

A little housekeeping

Do you remember Charles Godfrey, Trevor Robinson, and Carter Bykowski? If you don’t, I wouldn’t blame you. Those three former Falcons have been retired for years and had practically no impact at all on the team, but they were recently released from the reserve/retired list.

Grady Jarrett finally makes the NFL100 list

After somehow going unranked in 2019, defensive tackle Grady Jarrett was voted as the 91st best player in the NFL according to NFL Network’s top 100 players of 2020 list. Jarrett is coming off of a solid 2019 season which propelled him into his first Pro Bowl selection.
