Here are all the details. The radiothon will last 12 hours and be hosted by Ryan himself. Various athletes will call in throughout the day to share their personal experiences. You can make online donations and there will be a silent auction component as well.
Ryan felt a strong urge to do something for the Black community following the death of George Floyd. His initiative plans to bring together various stakeholders (athletes, activists, community stakeholders, etc.) with an eye towards bringing about substantive change.
To date, Ryan’s GoFundMe has raised $1.28 million, featuring donations from various Falcons, Falcons alums, and coaches. One anonymous donor even matched Ryan’s $500,000 contribution. Ultimately the goal is to raise $2 million, and they still have a ways to go.
