Rule changes coming to kickoffs?

Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo proved particularly adept at onside kicks last season, but a proposed rule change may limit Atlanta’s usage of him in those situations. The NFL is mulling a change that would allow teams to go for it on 4th and 15 instead of kicking off after a score.

This change would obviously provide offenses with more of an opportunity to shine in close situations, but it would likely diminish the usage of the onside kick — Koo’s specialty.

Post-June 1 targets

We’ve been tracking the names that are still floating around in free agency and how they may fit with the Falcons. With an influx of cap space due on June 1st, the Falcons are in a position to add to their team, and there are a number of intriguing names at the EDGE spot who Atlanta might consider.
