Although the Atlanta Falcons 2020 schedule was released nearly two weeks ago, we didn’t have definitive dates for when the preseason games would take place. Well, we do now.
Preseason usually wears out its welcome pretty quickly, but in a year where we may or may not get a full offseason program and training camp, these games might be sweeter than usual. Here’s the full schedule.
Preseason Schedule
Week 1: vs. Miami Dolphins — Friday, August 14, 7:00 p.m.
Week 2: at Buffalo Bills — Friday, August 21, 7:00 p.m.
Week 3: vs. Cincinnati Bengals — Friday, August 28, 8 p.m.
Week 4: at Jacksonville Jaguars — Thursday, September 3, 7 p.m.
This will be the fifth straight season that the Falcons will play both the Dolphins and Jaguars, obviously due to their close proximity to Atlanta and the fact that these teams are now best buds. Also worth noting is all four of this years’ preseason opponents are in the AFC, which the Falcons have a history of struggling against in the regular season.
In case you missed it, the Falcons regular season schedule can be viewed here. They have one of the toughest schedules in the league entering 2020, with the first four games coming against the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. The final three games of the regular season will come against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers twice and Super Bowl LIV champion Kansas City Chiefs.
