The Falcons once again pulled off a bit of a surprise in the middle of the first round, selecting Clemson cornerback A.J. Terrell with their pick. After all the draft trade rumors, Atlanta wound up staying right where they were to take a cornerback they clearly liked.
Terrell was an immediately divisive pick on social media, where some praised his overall college career and overall ability while others roasted him for his poor game against LSU and lack of elite traits. I view Terrell as a potentially more productive Desmond Trufant—and you have to remember, I’ve always liked Trufant a lot—so I’m happy if not exactly ecstatic over the selection.
You’re not looking for my opinion, though. I’m looking for yours, and I’d like to know what you think of Terrell joining Atlanta to be their #1 cornerback for years to come.
