In February prior to Super Bowl LIV, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kurt Benkert took part in the Fortnite Streamer Bowl charity event, where him and his teammate secured $60,000 for their respective charities. Benkert won Best Fornite Player in the NFLPA Open for 2019.
Now, Benkert has a chance at an even larger prize pool in the Twitch Rivals charity event.
Live sports may not be happening but NFL Players are joining athletes around the globe on @Twitch for some friendly competition & a chance at some of the $1 MILLION charity prize pool for their cause.

“Top 20 duos from today go to the finals and complete with other professionals on our team for $1 million dollar prize pool,” Benkert told The Falcoholic.
Additionally, Benkert will be joining the Atlanta FaZe Call of Duty league team, along with Falcons’ wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus which will be live streamed here.
During the 2019 offseason and into the preseason, Benkert was looking very impressive, with many (including myself) hoping he would secure the backup quarterback job behind Matt Ryan. Unfortunately, Benkert sustained a toe injury which landed him on injured reserve. He looks forward to competing for the backup role in 2020.
Be sure to tune in and subscribe to Benkert’s Twitch channel where he streams everything from Call of Duty to Fortnite by clicking here. Also, you can follow him on Twitter @KurtBenkert.
