Falcons RB Todd Gurley and Beyond Meat to donate more than 1 million Beyond Burgers

He’s back home, and already helping out in the community

After officially signing with the Atlanta Falcons, and returning to the state of Georgia, running back Todd Gurley is already helping out in the community. Gurley announced via Instagram that he’s teaming up with Beyond Meat on an initiative to donate and distribute more than 1 million Beyond Burgers over 30 days across the U.S. to those in need.

We’ve been impressed by how many members of the Falcons organization have done concrete things to help out their community.

Gurley was able to choose an organization through the Beyond Meat Feed A Million+ pledge, and selected the Atlanta Community Food Bank to send Beyond Burgers to. The Atlanta Community Food Bank has worked with more than 600 nonprofit partners—including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers—to distribute over 60 million meals to more than 755,000 people in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

The new Falcons running back isn’t the only player to give back to the Atlanta community lately, as quarterback Matt Ryan donated $100,000 to the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Giving Kitchen last month.

In times like these, communities across the country are being affected and it’s welcoming to see those in position to help out, selflessy giving back to the places where they call home. If you’d like to learn more about the Atlanta Community Food Bank and how you can help out, click here.
