What Dirk must do
Dirk Koetter at the helm of the offense does not inspire much confidence, but he will be the guy calling the plays in 2020. New Falcoholic writer Everett Glaze detailed three areas where Koetter must make changes to put together a successful offensive attack next season.
Mock draft, version 5.0
The mock drafts are coming in hot ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft next month. The Falcoholic’s Eric Robinson just dropped the fifth edition of what he thinks draft day may look like for the Atlanta Falcons, and it skews heavily on the defensive side of the ball.
Cornerback is a position that will likely be addressed in the draft, and under Dan Quinn the Falcons certainly have a “type” at the spot. Is there a chance that the team elects to break their established mold when selecting a corner?
The Zeke Motta legal ordeal
Former Falcons safety Zeke Motta suffered a career-ending neck injury in 2013, and he’s heading to trial against the team physician that cleared him to continue to play. Falcoholic legal analyst Matt Chambers dove into the court docs and uncovered some startling allegations.
The trial is slated to get underway today.
DQ & TD’s relationship
Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff is entering his 13th season in his current role. It’s a tenure that’s seen its highs, lows, and two head coaches. Dimitroff recently shared his thoughts on the evolution of his relationship with Dan Quinn, and the way the two of them work to build a successful football team.
