If all goes well—and there are no guarantees of that at any moment, but especially not now—the new league year will kick off on Wednesday afternoon. That means free agency begins and we get to watch a flurry of signings and big moves across the league, and maybe even a small handful of moves from our beloved Falcons.

The NFL has strongly indicated the plan remains to keep things rolling on schedule, at least for these upcoming dates, so we’re finally drawing to the end of a long, typically tepid offseason. Free agency will give us something interesting to talk about for a bit and we’d better enjoy it, given that there’s no guarantee the draft goes forward in its current incarnation.

With that in mind, here’s what you need to know for the week ahead.
