Happy Wednesday, Falcoholics! It’s a joyous occasion. We’re celebrating your journey to the end of the week, and good news: you’re halfway there! Good for you, Falcoholics. Good for you.
Our links are now served with a variety of dipping sauces, including honey mustard and tangy barbecue.
The latest edition of our offseason trivia came out yesterday. The Falcoholic himself hit us with a doozy: Which former Falcon has the best yards per carry average in team history? Go ahead, compose yourself. Meditate for a while. Then hit us with your best guess.
Free agency is so close we can smell it. (What does it smell like? To be frank, like a combination of incense, cheap beer, and regret.) De’Vondre Campbell is scheduled to hit free agency and it’s not clear the Falcons intend to welcome him back. If his recent tweets are any indication, he’s definitely interested in running it back in 2020.
Speaking of free agency, the Falcons have a lot of holes to fill. In particular, they might want to head into 2020 with more than one defensive tackle they trust. That’s where Kevin Knight’s list of free agent DT targets comes into play. Give it a read, if you haven’t already.
Alex Mack is a respected veteran that may be entering his last year in a Falcons uniform. (Truth be told, it may be his last year as a professional football player.) But over his 11-year career, Mack has earned respect from his opponents and his teammates. That’s why it should come as no surprise that he was elected the NFLPA’s treasurer. Congrats, Alex!
